State Capitol
This building features Neo-Classical architecture, and raises above the city’s level by 300 feet. The State Capitol is located near the Temple Square and even features a small gallery but its collection changes often.
Joseph Smith Memorial Building
This place used to be known as Utah Hotel and is build in the style of the 1910 era. The building houses conference rooms, restaurants, and even the Familysearch Center.
Tracy Aviary
Bird lovers should really come to this place as it is one of the oldest in the world. It houses a large variety of birds, most of them native to the North American continent. What’s unusual about this aviary is that it was established by a banker.
This is the Place Heritage Park
This park hosts a monument representing the arrival of the Mormons in the valley. Make sure you stop by the Old Deseret Village so learn how this community lived back at the middle of the 19th century.
